ABOUT KATIE MAY

I’ve spent over twenty years working in fashion — designing, styling, and buying — and much of that time taught me that style is not separate from life. It reflects how we move, what we value, and the pace at which we live.

In 2024, I closed my clothing line and stepped away from building products. Not as an exit, but as a shift. The industry had become faster and flatter than I wanted to participate in. I was more interested in craft, longevity, and how things are actually used and lived with.

Simply May grew out of that change.

This site reflects how I live now — through daily practice, thoughtful environments, and clothing chosen with care rather than urgency. My work is informed by a background in fashion, alongside studies in holistic nutrition, yin yoga, and organization. Together, they’ve shaped how I think about the relationship between body, space, and rhythm.

I don’t see style as something to perfect or perform. I see it as a practical language — one that evolves with seasons, energy, and life stages. The same is true for how we eat, rest, move, and arrange our homes.

Simply May is not a guide to follow.
It’s a point of view, shared openly, for anyone interested in living with more clarity and intention — without excess.
